From Nothing

I have wrestled
the canyons,
and reached
the highest peaks.
Seen things
you'll never see,
been places
you will never be.
I've rode the air like sound,
tossed head first in the fire,
and thrown in a canvas bag to drown.

I tamed the
forest long ago,
and the mountain
crumbled away to stone.
I was left with
nothing so to speak,
in smoldering
ruins was my keep.
I saw the devil
wrapped in her disguise,
and I found my
way right between her thighs.

Tell me you've got
the drop on me.
I'll laugh and show
you just what I have been.
I've been the earth,
and the fire inside.
I've soaked the soil,
and burned away the life.
I've carried dust through the air
like a thousand knives,
and cut the mountain
down to it's core.

I've clouded the morning
streets with fog,
leaving no trace behind.
Shrouding what your eyes,
fight so hard to find.
I've blown into the coast,
like a thousand fists,
and slammed myself against
islands out there in the mist.
I've etched my name
upon this land.
Sucked the life right out of this place,
And reduced continents to sand.
I am one,
I am all.
I am you, everything.
I am nothing at all.
We came from the sea.
We came from the woods.
We came from the sky.
We came from dust.
From nothing.
